June 18th 2026

Was "watching" the Bleach bount arc as I typed out some this site update and it is fucking grueling......Jin Kariya is one of the antagonists of all time and I have definitely been paying attention the entire time yep mhm. Anyways we only have 10 more episodes of it left so we're almost there, I am at least interested in the Arrancar arc mostly for the Espada and specifically Grimmjow I think his design is neat and he looks like a gremlin. I don't doubt though that it's going to be another 50-60+ episodes or more before I see him.

Anyways, I went to the flea market this past weekend and found a couple neat things, first I got a nice deal on a japanese copy of Mario Party 8 for the Wii it was only $10 and I decided to pick it up for the hell of it, my childhood copy was scratched to all hell so we don't exactly have it anymore but I don't really see myself busting it out to actually play with friends since none of them can read japanese but maybe I'll probably mess around with it on my own time and use it as some material for learning. Aside from that the only other notable pick up was an original Xbox for $15, sold to me as "for parts" but it appears to boot just fine it's just that the controller I have won't work and unfortunately I do not know if it's a port issue or if it's a controller issue at the moment. I am currently waiting on a known working replacement board and controller to properly troubleshoot but basic continuinty tests from the board to the motherboard seemed fine. On the upside I had to crack it open anyways to take out the clock capacitor as it is a launch model Xbox and I believe pre-revision 1.4(?) consoles have just old enough caps that are known to bulge and or leak since it has been about 25 years. I'm not too worried about it the capacitor didn't look like it leaked much if at all and I got the area cleaned up.

Entirely unrelated, I'm finally sitting down and reading through Higurashi albeit slowly due to how much time I have, if it grips me enough like Umineko did I might just end up doing what I did with that and do casual 15+ hour reading sessions over my weekends like a fucking creature.....Speaking of Umineko, I read more of the manga and have many emotions over Confessions that I want to just dump everywhere but I don't want to just overload this page with what will boil down to sob typing and just blatant spoiler images so I'll link it here once it's all done and formatted how I like it. Clicking on the Battler stamp should just work as a temporary page that will eventually link to it and in the future I'll probably figure something else out so it's not burried in past updates. Also the Battler stamp is how I feel because I decided to read it while at work and I was a mess!!

Isn't it neat how you just kinda forget to do things for 7 months sometimes? .....yeah that's me right now.

So it's been a while since I've put out a site update and I don't really have any reason aside from I forgot and didn't exactly set aside time to do so (even just a little "this is on hiatus" would've been enough but I just didn't). Honestly a lot of my side projects got put on hold while I was adjusting to my new position at work, and dealing with other irl stuff.

So to just run down the list, using ACE to get a shiny misdreavus from Green into Crystal not happening, I got crazy burnt out because I tried to force learn it and I was not in a great spot nor did I exactly have time to do so, that and I ended up finding copies of english Red and Blue for decent prices and picked those up, currently misdreavus is set up in Blue and I've been on and off hunting it for the past month.

My Crystal living dex has also been mostly on hold, I got an itch to go at it again recently and currently I'm just past Ecruteak, I mostly got side tracked because of burn out and I wanted to play through Platinum again that also ended up stalling out a while back just past Candice but I'll get back to it I promise it'll just be a minute...... ANYWAYS, I finished up my RNG manipulated Black playthrough which was nice to finally finish, I needed something mindless to do for a while and exp grinding off audino was perfect so I got that done.

Also the RNG video at this point probably isn't happening or if it does it's getting a full rewrite and recording because I don't think it matches what I would even want to make videos about at this point in time.


Away from the topic of Pokemon!
I have been keeping up with the manga of One Piece, it's been a great time honestly, I'll go back and watch the anime episodes in chunks later, especially with how they have pushed it to being bi-weekly releases for both manga and anime. I don't really want to say too much just because of spoilers for people just in case but it's good go read it.

Now, the real topic I want to talk about, UNBEATABLE (because it's either all caps or no caps) is genuinely one of the best games I've played in recent memory, I won't say it's flawless it's absolutely not but I haven't played a game with as much soul (heh..) in recent memory. Genuinely this game is a work of art, I could gush all day about it but I will refrain and keep it simple. This game is one of those experiences you either understand and resonate so damn much with, or you don't get it and it's not for you. I would say its very akin to something like FLCL which makes sense as they very much make it apparent that FLCL was a huge inspiration from the beginning. Highly recommend very worth your time! ALSO PLEASE JUST HIT THE CREDITS EVEN IF YOU DONT VIBE WITH THE GAME IMMEDIATELY!!

Moving on from my GOTY, I started reading Umineko and it's pretty neat so far I'm pretty sure I'm still only like 1/3 of the way through episode 1 but I think it's . I want to hit Battler over the head with a baseball bat but thats beside the point, I hear he gets better so we shall pray.

I've set a goal for myself this year to read more VNs because a lot of my friends have recommended me them over the years and a lot have just been sitting in my backlog for a while of "Oh that's neat I'll check it out at some point" and that was like years ago so we getting to them now. On top of that I also want to catch up to a ton more manga, I've been meaning to read JoJos since I fell off watching the anime so I think I'll start with that and catch up while I have time at work or something.

On to site plans, I don't exactly know what I want to do at the moment, for now it's just going to be more of the same and do little backend updates on occasion when I have the drive to do so and we'll see how that turns out in the future. I will however update Niche Oddities and rename it because I have many more figures to show off AND I scanned in those Yu-Gi-Oh! Toei VHS covers so I can post a link to that since I uploaded them to archive.org. That and I just have other cool stuff I can talk about in depth, like I got a Samsung Galaxy Folder 2 flip phone and I've been using it for about a month now so I want to talk about my experience with it and see if I eventally drop my Pixel 7 to use it as a daily driver phone. So we'll see when I get around to updating that page.

Hi, Quick update since it's been about a week or so.

First up, I somewhat fixed the CSS so the site is both properly viewable on non 1440p screens and will re-size when under a certain width, still not setup for mobile displays or screens under 1280x1024 but I don't think it's that important at the moment.

Secondly, One Piece, we've finally gotten caught up! Genuinely love it so much and can't wait to watch the new episodes as they air, I've been debating on getting ahead and reading the manga but that will probably have to wait as I want to watch some other shows first and my time is already limited outside of weekends.

Luffy and Law are still my favorite guys of all time, Gear 5 is peak, the animation is so good, it feels so free flowing and whimsical, which I guess is the point.
As much as I am usually kind of whatever on the fight scenes the tail end of the Kaidou fight once Luffy goes Gear 5 is just animated to well it was a joy to watch, same goes for the Lucci fight in Egghead.

Anyways, onto Pokemon, I haven't fully finished scripting my RNG video but that is still in the works, it will take a long time before it's done though.

In the meantime I decided to do some fun experimenting with Generation 1 glitches and managed to do the fossil conversion glitch in an attempt to get Johto Pokemon in Kanto, I managed to get the Pokemon to appear but I'm at an impass with transfering them out since I haven't figured out an ACE setup for the Japanese R/G/B games to change the Pokemons internal typing, unfortunately for Generation 1 games I only have Japanese Green, Yellow, and International Yellow otherwise I would have done this in Red/Blue and been done already as those ACE setups already exist. I guess this is my excuse to learn Gameboy Assembly.

Bonus Yanma too I guess.

That's all I got for now, looks like it's back to work for me, in terms of both site work and actual job work....this is what I get for doing my updates on Sunday nights/Monday mornings huh.

Hi! Update time, and twice in a weeks time!

So, those gameboy parts came in and now I have them all put together they look great! Here are a couple pics, the ones on the left are new I already had the Groudon and Kyogre SPs.

I'm honestly super happy with how these turned out! They look great and I'm building up my SP collection for playing the gameboy piano during Safari Week!! ...and maybe I'll actually sit down and play some of my GBA/GB games now since I have a nice GBA to play them on and not just SPs since they cramp my hands after long enough playsessions.

Anyways, future plans!
I want to make a full video about RNG clones and just general guidelines on the RNG mechanics of Gens 3 and 4 since those games are the ones where clones are most likely to be seen and also they're my favorite games and the ones I've actually spent time RNG manipulating in. Plus I already think that quick psa video I pushed out in a night is pretty bad which is to be expected from a video I whipped up in less than 3 hours.

In terms of site updates I want to make the past updates page use something like a dropdown to select which day to view instead of just all in one continuous line down the page. I also will probably just axe the Kingdom Hearts page and merge it with CRT Posting into just a general random photodump and yap about whatever random thing I decide be it a random figure, anime, game etc.

Ok, that's about it for now I'm praying I can get a Switch 2 at some point since I missed the inital pre-orders by about 20 minutes at the major retailers near me, so I hope Nintendo throws me a bone with pre-ordering directly from them but who knows. Edit: Wal-mart came in clutch and I got my pre-order in!

Hi, it's time for another update on the random things I've been up to!!

First up, One Piece, a friend and I have been watching to get caught up and we are almost there, we just passed episode 1000 and I have been loving most of it. I'm not the biggest fan of most shonen since from prior experience fights tend to drag on way longer than they should sometimes, and yeah being honest One Piece is no different BUT everything in-between has probably been the most captivated I've been with an anime in a long time.

Just a quick tl;dr rundown of my current thoughts Luffy and Law are my favorite guys of all time, Bon Kurei the truest homie of them all, Water 7 into Enies Lobby is peak, G8 is peak filler, and I hate Doflamingo. (being real I don't even like really care too much about him, Oda did a good job villanizing him he's a terrible person but GOD I DON'T CARE DRESSROSA DRAGGED ON FOR SO DAMN LONG).

Oh, Oden and Yamato are neat too, I genuinely love Oden a lot his backstory was actually really enjoyable to watch.

Alright, moving on I bought 3 Gameboy Advances, 2 SPs and an original GBA, I got them for a decent price off a co-worker and I am going to screen and shell swap them, for one of the SPs I got a repro Rayquaza shell to match my Groudon and Kyogre SPs the other is actually the NES edition SP so I'm leaving it as is and just replacing the screen, for the Advance I got just a clear green aftermarket shell. I also got replacement batteries and got the usb-c rechargable kit for the advance.
The parts won't arrive until sometime next week so pictures have to wait but once it's all done I want to get pictures of all the GBAs lined up.

At the moment that's about it, work has been beating my ass but at least I got a raise recently so I'm happy about that.
I also still don't know what I actually want do with this site aside from what basically amounts to a journal to just dump my thoughts into every once in a while, but I guess thats fine though.

Quick update since I've been busy and lazy LMAO!!
I've been doing a bit, I kinda fell off of playing Crystal for the time being and focused entirely on playing Monster Hunter for a solid 2-3 weeks when Wilds released and that took up a ton of time, I also got back into playing Final Fantasy XIV in the past week, not to raid but new patch content came out and I wanted to spend time with friends.
Past that, I went out to visit friends in California this past week, some of which I got to meet in person for the first time!!!! It was really fun, hotpot is always great and the aquarium we went to was really nice!! I'll post the pictures later in a collage probably I don't know, kinda lazy to edit them.

I had seen a ton of people continuously make a mistake in setting up their multi-hunts when using emulators which caused them to basically be hunting with 1 system 4 times instead of 4 different systems specifically when using 1 controller to controll all emulator instances.

I finally got around to updating the site it just took 3 months and now I'm doing it on a sunday night before I work again! I love my brain!!
Anyways I've been playing Pokemon Yellow lately and its been pretty fun, working on a living dex for Crystal recently and needed the Gen 1 starters, fossils and legendaries. I wanted to have some fun with this playthrough so I used Stadium 2 to bring in a Fresh Water from another save and just kinda skipped Rocket Hideout lmao.


I also did the Trainer Fly glitch to get Mew since it's the only way to get one and I don't care about legality checks at all for this since it's not like I'm taking them out of Gen1/2 anyways.

jimmothy the Gyarados


jimmothy was the realest one with tradebacks from gen 2 giving access to moves like headbutt and waterfall it was a menace after evolving and honestly swept the game post Erika for me.

BattlerUmi the Bulbasaur


the Cut user himself, yeah I really only grabbed him for dex completion and he became the cut user, he's only named Battler because I was watching Big Yellow talk about the Umineko fighting game and for like 12 seconds I saw him there probably thinking about small bombs or something.

Teto the Pikachu


Teto the og, honestly just kinda there as well, early on Teto was just getting quick attack kills off of Munke the Mankey and thats about it they also helped with switch training jimmothy.

xxBigBurdx the Zapdos


BigBurd did the most out of the 3 birds and that was almost entirely because I used her to catch the other two she swept up whatever jimmothy couldn't but thats about it, I plan to come back to Yellow at some point and shiny hunt all 3 of the Kanto birds from here, also I master balled her.

Gorogoro the Moltres


Unfortunately the least interesting of the party, never used and wasn't a super notable capture took like 2-3 attempts to knock them down to red and catch them. Named Gorogoro after the Gorons from Zelda

Missed! the Articuno


Missed! I think speaks for itself if you understand Gen 1 capture mechanics, if not brief explanation 0 shakes does not exist in Gen 1 if the game rolls to catch and you get what would be 0 shakes you just flat out miss the pokemon and get hit with a "You missed the pokemon!". Took many attempts but after a while got him down in the red and paralyzed and got him with an ultra ball.

As a fun little side note to all this I found out that the Expansion Pak is used for something in Stadium 2 other than Higher-Res Textures it's also used for the GB Tower as well! I demonstrate it in this video first without the expansion pak insterted then with it inserted, you can see that the game has to load constantly when it has to basically do anything, do note both times the inital boot for the game is about 1 minute and 10 seconds.

I have every pokemons bulbapedia page linked and the route or area you can find them is highlighted with the games color that I figure was easiest to find them in, I specifically went and looked at every evolution to see if it was obtainable in the wild and decided if its possible to catch it in the wild I have to so if its listed as EVO you have to evolve for it.

Most base forms of pokemon are just listed on the same route as the evolved forms I figure if it was easier to organize that way since I'll be catching whatever comes up during my playthrough then sweep back after I have the HMs and Key Items nessecary for optimal travel.
